Any New K-1 Visa Requirements in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

Coming in to the 1st of the year, we have kind of coming through about halfway of the first quarter here, I have had questions from people, they have asked me: "are there any new requirements associated with the K-1 Visa from Thailand?"

The good news on this point is in the last Administration they piled on a ton of new requirements. They were trying to put on even more onerous requirements associated with various visas including the K-1. Then they "de-prioritized" the K-1 which the Federal Court subsequently went in and reversed that although not before some serious damage was done to folks that were processing their K-1 cases. On top of that, we got into the backlogs associated with the pandemic situation. The good news is it seems to be things are turning around. We are seeing more interviews being scheduled; we are seeing the backlog starting to thaw and we are seeing things kind of process forward.

Are there any new requirements? No not really, but I will say it does appear to me that there are quite frankly less overall requirements when compared to about two and a half years ago where we were dealing with a number of very nitpicky things associated with evidence associated with the K-1 Visa especially financial evidence associated with the K-1. So the thing to take away from this video while no, I don't really see there are any new requirements, things are looking good in terms of processing times but the rest of the year will tell exactly what things are going to look like.
