As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the CR-1 and IR-1 Marriage Visas for the United States, Immigrant Spouse Visas to be precise. These are the type of visas that those who are looking to bring, especially the case of American citizens but also lawful permanent residents looking to bring their spouses to the United States in order to take up residence therein. 

There is some good news on this front. I have kind of been a font of somewhat pessimistic or negative information the past few months especially regarding backlogs associated with the Immigration apparatus but I will say when it comes to the CR-1 and the IR-1 petitions processing through the Department of Homeland Security's apparatus, have been moving pretty briskly. I have got to give credit where credit is due. They have been moving those along in a more timely manner than other cases. 

Now for those who are out there watching this and saying “well it doesn't feel very timely or very brisk”, I totally hear you. I am just comparing this to some of the other Visa categories and compared to them I do have to say that processing the petition for the CR-1 or IR-1 is moving faster comparatively.
