As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing whether or not you need an interview appointment for a K-1 Visa. Yeah, in a lot of ways I look at the actual interview appointment date at the Embassy as something of a culmination of the entire process of dealing with the K-1. 

The short answer is yes, you need the appointment and you need a whole lot of things to be done in lead up to that appointment so you can ultimately get that Visa issued. At the interview appointment itself a lot of different things can happen. A denial, approval; there could be an issuance of what is called a 221(g) refusal or Request for further documentation where they say look we are not going to issue the Visa today but bring us the document we are asking for, we will review it again and probably issue it thereafter.

So again, a lot can happen at the interview appointment and it really is kind of the culmination of the overall process. But yes, most definitely you need an appointment to get an interview to get the K-1 Visa processed.
