As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing K-1 Visas. We are discussing them specifically in the context of, folks will contact me and I will be talking to him and they will say "I need to get her, it is usually a her but it is not always, but "I need to get my fiancée to the United States on this date".

Well I am here to tell you that ain't working that way right now. Travel arrangements are already difficult under optimal circumstances. To throw in the mix the notion of processing a K-1 through the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State; if you are starting from a dead stop and you are looking for like an exact date to get that person in, I mean yeah if you are talking years out I can say with some degree certainly that will happen but if it is like we are sitting here in February of 2022 and you want with certainty so and so is going to be where they need to be October whatever of 2022, well that is a tall order, under any circumstances quite frankly. Really right now, due to backlogs, just the kind of pressure frankly that the travel system is under, as well as all these different travel regulations of all these different countries, all of this basically adds up to a situation where you need to be relatively fluid with respect to your expectations as to the timing of when your fiancée is going to be arriving in the United States.
