Immigrant Spouse Visas, NVC, and the US Embassy in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

I recently did a video regarding the K-1 Fiancé Visa and some issues we have been seeing with respect to NVC delays. Quite honestly to you folks out there, especially clients, who we are processing cases on through the National Visa Center, my sympathy truly is with you.

The delays, not only at USCIS which are their own kettle of fish, but then delays not just with dealing with NVC which as I have discussed in other videos, NVC is already a quagmire and we do our best to process cases through as best we can, but now we are seeing delays in getting cases from USCIS over to NVC. Now I have sort of heard through the grapevine out there among colleagues etc., there is some kind of issue with respect to a contractor or something that has to do with, one of their functions is getting these cases moved over from one place to another. Honestly my question would be do we even need NVC really? I mean the petition is approved at USCIS. Why don't we just get it on out to the Embassy and move along. I have yet to understand the function of why we go through this entirely redundant process of uploading a bunch of documentation that has already been submitted and will be forwarded to the Embassy. I don't really get why it is done this way. I often wonder and I don't like to engage or indulge in conspiracy theory, but the last Administration seemed hell bent on making everything as difficult and cumbersome and obtuse as possible in the overall Immigration process, so maybe that has something to do with it.

But long story short, yeah it is hard enough to deal with the NVC itself and now we are starting to see issues where we are getting delays in getting the case even over to NVC. So hopefully, this will abate. We are obviously doing the best we can with respect to the cases we are processing and will continue to do so in the future and try to keep you updated accordingly.
