So the first part this video, I'm going to kind of give an apology to some clients. Look, Immigration has just been chaos lately. We've now got the Visa pause as it pertains to Thailand, so we are still processing cases, but it is sort of like "hurry up, and wait, and wait, and wait." 

That said, the reason for this video is amidst all of this, I think it's important for people to get their expectations right as to how this system works and the mindset of this system. And a good example of this occurs with Advanced Parole. What is Advanced Parole? Advanced Parole travel documents are issued to those who travel to the United States on a K-1 Visa and want to leave and preserve their status while their Adjustment of Status is processing, while they are waiting for their Green Card application to be processed. If they leave without getting Advance Parole, their status extinguishes, so you have to get this travel document. And right now, unfortunately, it just takes forever to get the travel document.

The bureaucracy of American Immigration frankly, I don't think there is any other way to really put this, it's effectively broken. Now the Administration, I won't say they relish it, but I would say that certain aspects of the broken nature of the Immigration system play into their desires seemingly with regard to Immigration Policy generally. That said, what are the practical implications for people that have to deal with this system? It's not very positive, and Advance Parole is another example of this where it can take a substantial period of time to even get the Advance Parole issued. In some cases I see Advance Parole get issued right before, or after, or at the same time as actual Residence being conferred, so sometimes it's not even all that useful. 

Now moving forward, I don't expect that this is going to be a major pressing issue but the reason I'm bringing it up is to sort of remind people or to kind of get people into the mindset of look, you are dealing with this US Immigration system. This thing would have made Soviet bureaucrats envious of its inefficiency and just ability to not do what it's extensively designed to do. But that's the system we have to work with and moving through this Trump Visa pause that we are dealing with, again I think you have to have that same mentality as well. So as always, we will be keeping people updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
