K-1 Visa Processing Issues as 2021 Ends

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing K-1 Fiancé Visas. It has been a topic on this channel for some time and this is just kind of a roundup going into quarter 4 here of 2021, just some issues that we are seeing with respect to K-1's.

One, getting interview appointments is just not what it once was. They are fewer and further between. I think that has to do with internal staffing issues or logistical issues within the Embassy presumably resulting from policies associated with the overall situation regarding the pandemic. Yes things are moving more slowly. On the USCIS side, I have unfortunately been seeing a lot of these K-1's move not nearly as fast as we used to see them.

Now we did another video on this channel regarding a case that was dismissed out of Court because the prior Administration essentially had sort of slowed rolled for lack of a better term these K-1 cases and the current Administration turned around and basically re-designated these type of cases which resulted in making that pending case moot, so they threw the case out. The upshot of that is I am hoping we are going to start seeing K-1's move along a little more quickly at least at the Embassy level.

That said, yeah unfortunately I think things are moving a little slow over at DHS on the Homeland Security side of this overall process or at least slower than we have seen in the past. I am hoping that changes. I am not holding my breath for that to happen within quarter 4 of 2021 but we could see substantial changes to the process going into 2022.
