K-2 and K-4 Visas for Children of K-1 and K-3 Visa Holders?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing K-2 and K-4 Visas. These are derivative visas for children of K-1 and K-3 Visa holders or Visa seekers.

I don't talk about these visas all that often; I probably should more. But yeah, these are visas; obviously they are derivative. They are for the children of a K-1 or K-3 Visa seeker/holder. For those who are unaware, the K-1 Visa is a Fiancé(e) Visa. It is utilized by the fiancé(e) of an American citizen; it can be used for that fiancé(e) to travel to the United States for 90 days in order to get married and adjust status therein. The K-3 Visa is technically a Non-Immigrant Visa. It is a supplemental petition, supplemental to someone who is seeking an I-130. As we have discussed in other videos, it was created by Bill Clinton under the Life Act at a time when basically processing Immigrant Spouse Visas was very time consuming and cumbersome. Now we have kind of come full circle and there are certain instances where a K-3 could now be useful.

But long story short, it's not always the best Visa option. Again, under Trump's Visa pause, further analysis may be necessary. But, as I have discussed in other videos, we see a lot of "administrative closure" of K-3 Visa applications by the National Visa Center in their infinite wisdom.

The point of this video however is yeah, the K-4 may be an option. It is also Non-immigrant technically which may have implications under the Trump Visa ban/Visa pause, so there's that, but basically I am just making this video to kind of remind people that yes, there are visas available for the children of those who are seeking either a K-1 or K-3 Visa from here in the Kingdom of Thailand, greater Southeast Asia or around the world.
