Renewal of US Tourist Visas from the US Embassy in Bangkok by Mail

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Tourist Visas to the US.

For those who are unaware, it may be possible to renew your Tourist Visa by mail. A recent tweet from the US Embassy in Bangkok reminded me of this and I thought, you know what, I am going to spread that word along.

We don't do a lot of Tourist Visas here in the office. We occasionally may advise somebody on something associated with a Tourist Visa. As I have gotten into in other videos on this channel, due to Section 214b of the Immigration and Nationality Act, most of the folks that come to us talking about Tourist Visas may not be able to even get the visa issued under Section 214b due to their circumstances. For those who are interested in further information on that, it may be a good idea to contact us or check out some of the other videos here on our channel. You can use the search function to go ahead and search for 214b or just US Tourist Visa.

This is for folks who have had a Tourist Visa in the past. Again, I am going to go ahead and put this up on screen. This is a tweet from Twitter, from the Twitter account at the US Embassy here in Bangkok; hats off to those folks, thank you very much. We are going to go ahead and put this up and yes it may be possible to seek renewal of one's Tourist Visa so long as one has not had any issues with staying in the United States, or over staying in the United States. As long as one has remained in compliance with US Immigration Law throughout the duration of their prior Tourist Visa, it may be possible to get their Tourist Visa renewed and made current by mail. Depending on when it expired, it may be possible to go ahead and as long as it is generally speaking within 2 years of the expiration it may be possible to just mail that in; now there are other steps associated with that but mailing in their Tourist Visa to go ahead and get a new Tourist Visa issued.

So hopefully that is of some assistance to some folks. I just wanted to get the word out there about that. It may be possible to go ahead and renew your Tourist Visa by mail.
