As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai police clearances for so-called Third Country Nationals. Now what are we talking about with respect to a third country National? We are talking about usually when I deal with Thai police clearances, we are dealing with them in the context of US immigration; we are usually talking about a Thai citizen who is looking to go to the United States. 

Sometimes we may be dealing with somebody who is not Thai, they just live in Thailand. In those cases yes it is possible to get a Thai police clearance. It is a little bit more cumbersome if you will. The process is a little bit more involved compared to a Thai national most notably because Thai nationals have a Thai ID card. They basically have their entire, vital statistics and legal history on that ID card and it is pretty easy to do a background check on a Thai citizen. A third country national requires a little bit more time usually and that is basically what slows things down.

I deal with Third Country Nationals police clearances in the context of US Immigration and other otherwise, we do it on behalf of those who contact us from abroad and need a police clearance. We deal with it rather frequently. Third Country Nationals it is a little bit longer process mostly because gathering up all the relevant data just takes a little bit more time.
