US Embassy Bangkok: Processing Update K-3, CR-1, IR-1, K-1 Visas?

Transcript of the about video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing, well we are discussing kind of any Visa that is going to be processing that we usually deal with; the CR-1, the IR-1, the K-3 or the K-1 Visa processed out of the US Embassy here in Bangkok. Just going to provide a quick update here.

Yeah, we are definitely seeing the thaw if you will from the COVID situation where we are seeing a lot of cases come off of USCIS. They are moving into NVC and then on top of that we are seeing cases come off of NVC coming over here to the Embassy and we are starting to see things move at a pace we are kind of used to status quo ante COVID. Long story short, folks that have been waiting a while, there is probably some light at the end of the tunnel here although every case is different, I am not going to say that this is a one size fits-all video. But the thing to understand is yeah, it does look like things are kind of moving. We are dealing with a far higher volume of cases moving through the Embassy here. Generally speaking, we see this kind of move this way for the next few months and then usually in December things really do kind of drop off usually due to holidays only to then kind of slowly get restarted at the beginning of the year and then process on through, keep on going into the New Year.

So the thing to take away from this video, yeah some good news. I mean we are definitely seeing light at the end of the tunnel on these cases that have been waiting around quite a while. It does look like again things are starting to kind of thaw out, for lack of a better term. Hopefully we will be seeing more and more of these cases moving on through so we can hopefully get people reunited back in the USA as soon as possible.
