"US Embassy Outreach" in Thailand?
Transcript of the above video:
I don't often post these videos because quite frankly the Warden Service of the US Embassy sends out emails on this stuff but I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and post this as we are starting to see a lot of newer expats and people that are living over here and they may not be aware of this, that the US Embassy does do what is called Outreach sometimes where they go to different regions in Thailand where they don't have a physical presence in terms of like an Embassy as in Bangkok or a Consulate as in Chiang Mai, they do Outreach to different regions where a lot of expats live in order to give those folks an opportunity to deal with their Embassy business in a more convenient manner.
I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Pattaya News, that is thepattayanews.com, the article is titled: Upcoming US Embassy Outreach coming to Pattaya. Quoting directly: "An upcoming US Embassy Outreach is coming to Pattaya. Below is the information!
Provision of Consular Services: Tuesday September 17, 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM
The American Citizen Services Unit will be providing limited Consular services at American Legion Post THO2 in Pattaya City, Chon Buri from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on September 17, 2024.
That is useful information. So expats can go down there and interact with the Embassy personnel; assist with things like passports oftentimes, although they may not be able to do everything right then and there, they can assist with getting people sort of squared away with regard to that. Meanwhile dealing with things like notarizations through the Embassy can probably be dealt with then.
Now that said, it is my understanding they don't have anything to do with the Visa Unit so those who are seeking US Immigration benefits for a foreign spouse or fiancé (e) for example you are probably better off contacting an American Immigration Attorney and gaining some insight and guidance into how to proceed with regard to Immigration in that way. But that being said, it is worth noting that yes the Embassy will be doing Outreach down in Pattaya on September 17th, 2024.
