Will a K-1 Visa Be Optimal in a Trump Administration?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question, 'will a K-1 Fiancé Visa be the optimal travel document to seek in a Trump Administration?' Why are we bringing this up? Well, I have done videos on this before. I made videos on this during COVID. Quite honestly, toward the end of the Trump Administration, I want to say the last year the Trump Administration, they really started messing around with the K-1 Visa. They kind of deprioritized it; they just didn't like it basically.

What I'm very much hoping is in the interim 4 years, Mr. Trump and his colleagues have perhaps learned that there's a big difference between illegal Immigration and legal Immigration and maybe hassling and causing obstacles and problems for people who are trying to do it right, is not good policy. That remains to be seen. That being said, for now at least I'm not necessarily going to make the presumption that the K-1 is going to be hobbled or something like this moving forward. So, where it is appropriate, again depending on the specific facts in given a case, I'm not going to say just yet that you want to stay away from the K-1 because Trump is coming in. I don't think that's reasonable to presume at this time. Again, it's been 4 years. One has to think that things, probably at least paradigmatically, may have changed. Again, I am not going to be unnecessarily optimistic. I had serious issues with the prior Trump Administration's handling of certain aspects of US Immigration, especially how they changed things around, especially under the leadership of Mr. Stephen Miller, to sort of change things around in terms of the administrative rules etc., and just overall kind of made the overall process just more obtuse and difficult to deal with. Do I presume that's going to happen again? No, again because I think that they have thought through some things and they probably understand enforcement is what they need to be dealing with, not trying to effectively harass and delay people who are just trying to do things the right way.

So, it remains to be seen. Again, for now we haven't actually, at least as of the time of this video, Mr. Trump has yet to come into office, so we will certainly be keeping people updated on this channel as that situation evolves.
