If I Am COVID Vaccinated Do I Still Need to Quarantine in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the COVID vaccine, vaccinations for COVID-19. We are discussing it in the context of inbound Thai Immigration for foreign nationals or Thai nationals for that matter. This pertains to them as well, at least as of the time of this video.

The question is: "If I have received the COVID vaccine, do I need to quarantine?" The answer at least at present seems to be “yes, anyone coming into Thailand will be subject to COVID-19 quarantine.” What I mean by this is what is called Alternative State Quarantine for foreign nationals; ASQ. What we are talking about here is folks coming in, they have already received the vaccine, do they have to go through quarantine? The answer seems to be "yes.” This seems to be a broad rule that applies to everyone broadly. So anyone coming into Thailand who wishes to enter needs to go through quarantine regardless of vaccination history.

Now, currently this rule is in place as it because we haven't had the vaccine. The vaccine is just being rolled out so I suspect that we will see changes to this rule in the relatively near future. It remains to be seen exactly when or if this will change so stay tuned to this channel; we will keep you updated as the situation progresses.
