"Lockdown" in Bangkok: What ISN'T Open?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the lockdown in Bangkok or more specifically as I have done another video on this topic, it is not a lockdown. It is explicitly stated as not being a lockdown. We are in a highly controlled area here in Bangkok.

The reason for this video and it has recently been announced that they are rolling back some of the restrictions and I think for the time being it is probably best to answer in the negative. So "what isn't currently allowed rather than what is currently allowed?" So they have re-opened a lot of things most notably things like fitness centers etc. and you can find all of this online but I thought it was more useful to the viewers of this channel to understand what isn't open; what are you still precluded from doing under current rules. Quoting directly from a recent article in the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: 13 Kinds of Business to Reopen in Bangkok and they list the 13 kinds of business. If you are looking for specificity on what in is being reopened, go check out that article. They also answer within that article, quoting directly: "The 13 kinds of premises that remain closed: Pubs, bars and similar entertainment places, children's playgrounds and amusement parks, and markets, boxing stadiums, snooker clubs, cockfighting rings, places for bullfighting, fish fighting and the like, daycare centers, bathing parlors, sex massage parlors, nurseries, water parks and cram schools and all kinds of education institutes.

So you know that is basically where things are at as far as what is closed. They are noting that they seem to be getting things according to them, back in line with respect to case counts etc. so hopefully we will be seeing a lot more of these restrictions being popped off for lack of a better term, being repealed sooner rather than later. We will try to keep you updated on this channel as the situation progresses.
