Mexico Declares Endemic, Thailand Next?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Mexico and Thailand. The reason I am discussing Mexico on this, I have seen a lot of comments on our channel where they are comparing Mexico and Thailand, a lot. People are saying especially Americans are saying I am going to go to Mexico, Thailand has got too many restrictions. Well a lot of those restrictions are gone and I think it is very possible, I am not going to make any predictions, I have been burned on that too much in the last couple of years, but it is very possible that most if not all of these restrictions could be gone here quite shortly. The reason I say this comes from a recent article from The Washington Post, that is washingtonpost.com, and this article is titled: Mexico says Coronavirus now Endemic, not Pandemic. “MEXICO CITY: The Mexican Government said Tuesday the COVID-19 has passed from a pandemic to an endemic stage in Mexico meaning authorities will treat it as a seasonally recurring disease. Mexico never enforced face mask requirements and the few partial shutdowns of businesses and activities were lifted weeks ago."

The reason I started thinking about this is I was reading a recent article in the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Post-Test and Go arrival boom forecast. This is a worthy article of note and those who are watching this video, go ahead and check out that article. This excerpt kind of talked about the thrust of this video. Quoting directly: "Separately, Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul repeated his call to have Covid-19 declared as an endemic disease in Thailand, saying it is necessary to drive the economy. Minister Anutin also said that the Ministry will continue to work towards ensuring the country is ready to declare COVID-19 an endemic disease adding it will also expedite the easing measures put in place to curb the spread of the disease." I couldn't agree with the Public Health Minister more. I think that is a great idea. It is time to really put this behind us I think. I have had issues with respect to decisions made and data collection; how they counted the data. Let's put all that behind us too. Let's just declare this thing what it is and what it appears to be at this point to me at least, declare it endemic and move on. Let's get the economy back up and going; let's get the tourism back; let's get our businesses back; let's get everybody moving along.

I was reading an article the other day I think it was in the Pattaya Mail, I think they said that the cash registers were whirring or something like this. Pattaya is starting to kind of come back and hopefully this is an overarching trend and we will see this momentum build behind this and we will hopefully get Thailand opened, get some tours and back in here, get the economy moving ahead not just tourism, exports all kinds of business, let's just move on. I am hoping that will happen sooner rather than later.
