Suspension of Domestic Flights in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing domestic flight suspensions here in Thailand. We have been reading a lot, for example I saw an article right before I made this video, I believe they have canceled buses from Phuket to Bangkok it is my understanding.

A recent article from the Phuket News, that is thephuketnews.com, the article is titled: Air Asia Suspends Domestic Flights. "Air Asia suspended all domestic flights in the country with the hope of resuming operations from August 1." Quoting further and quoting directly from a notice from Air Asia: "Adhering to the Government's COVID-19 prevention measures, Thai Air Asia will temporarily suspend operations on all domestic flights (FD Flights) from 10 July to 31 July, 2021 the notice said. We hope to resume operations from August 1, 2021 onward it added." So it looks like at least for Air Asia things are going to be suspended. We are hearing similar things regarding other airlines. I can't imagine we will see all domestic flights just totally come to a halt although we could but I suspect that such flights are going to be heavily truncated at least for the forthcoming let's call it the rest of July presumably, and it is going to be pretty difficult to get from one place to the other, especially by air in Thailand.

For those who aren't aware, Bangkok is going under another lockdown although they don't seem to want to call it that and it appears that travel is going to be rather truncated into and out of the city proper. So we will certainly keep folks updated on this channel as the situation progresses.
