Thai Authorities Not Concerned About "Visa Abuse"?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Authorities in Thailand's concerns regarding "Visa Abuse". I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Visa-free travel for Thais to Europe still faces an uphill battle. Quoting directly: "The Thai Prime Minister does not seem over-concerned about recent cases of Visa abuse and fraud, putting his faith in new technology and AI to identify and deport unwelcome guests." Well I don't know if I necessarily agree with that. I've been watching the Immigration System for quite some time now and we saw a massive influx of personnel into Thai Immigration prior to COVID. Post COVID, we have now seen a great deal of modernization of the tools associated with Immigration enforcement, not least of which being the issue of biometrics; identification and fingerprinting, all of that good stuff. That has improved tremendously over time.

So yes, while on the one hand I think there's some reason for Authorities to be happy about the current state of at least the technology associated with Immigration, I don't think it's fair to say that they are being lax in anyway. If anything, they have more personnel, they have more resources than they had in the past. So I think if anything moving forward, we are probably looking at a much more proactive Immigration with more resources out there being able to be dedicated to those who are "abusing" the Immigration system here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
