"Vaccination Certificates" for Foreigners to Remain in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the possibility of "vaccination certificates" to remain in Thailand.

I have had a lot of people email me on this topic especially since we did a video regarding the possibility of mandatory COVID testing here in Thailand and I thought I would go ahead and make this video. I am quoting from the Pattaya Mail and that is a very useful resource. I often find a lot of the news sources out of Pattaya, the news websites out of Pattaya stay really on top of a lot of national news. Some really good reporting gets done down in Pattaya. This from the Pattaya Mail. Thailand Immigration Updates and Reminders, that is pattayamail.com, and quoting directly from this: "A similar rumor that starting in 2022, a Vaccination Certificate will be needed for those wishing to remain here," and that is Thailand, presumably Pattaya, Thailand; greater Thailand, "is also unfounded. Any changes as always will be well publicized initially in the mainstream media by the Immigration Authorities directly and under their logo." So notable that apparently it has been going around that there are rumors that starting in late 2021, early 2022 there is going to be requirement that those staying in Thailand have Certification for being vaccinated. As the Pattaya Mail noted there is nothing out there in the official discourse, from the official publications, Government Gazette, Royal Thai Gazette, Thai PBS anything like that that suggests that this is the case. I don't think that will actually happen personally. I hesitate to speculate because I have been burned in the past and proven wrong but at the end of the day, we can only make our own suppositions and try to operate accordingly.

Presently I would say that the Vaccine Certification is probably an unlikely program that will be promulgated, at any point I think. So I don't think we are going to actually see that and as noted by the Pattaya Mail, that would be put on notice in government decrees, proclamations, announcements via Royal Gazette, etc. one would think and we haven't seen anything like that and I doubt we will anytime soon. That stated, we will continue to keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
