Thailand Elite Card: Elite Family Premium Membership

Transcript of the above video:

In this video today we're going to be, as the title suggests, we are going to be discussing the Thailand Elite card in one specific sub category with respect to the Elite Family Premium Membership. Now something to keep in mind with respect to this specific subcategory unlike some of the other videos we have done on this topic, this is a family subcategory, so some aspects of this category result in higher overall fees associated with the category and various other considerations which pertain more to families than to individuals.

So membership validity is going to be subject to validity of core member so the core member, the individual who initially joined, they can sort of attach on an individual and that individual is sort of going to, for lack of a better term, is going to run concurrently, their status is going to run concurrently with the core member’s status. Membership fee: 1 million baht VAT included. Membership transfer: One time transferable, only to immediate family; transfer fee: 20% of prevailing rate; annual fee is going to be 10,000 Thai baht per year VAT included. Again we are quoting this directly from the official website of the Thailand Elite Program. Privilege entry visa: renewable 5-year multi-entry visa with extendable 1 year length of stay for each entry, but again if this individual sort of  joined after a core member their  visa validity might be cut a little bit, or a lot, as they're going to run with that core member, their status will run concurrent.; arrival and departure benefits: VIP greeting and escort on arrival and departure by Elite Personal Assistance;  expedited immigration and passport control processing, exclusive arrival and departure lounges, complimentary round trip limousine transfer from airport to residence or hotel within Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket or Samui on international flights, selected partner privileges: golf, 10 complementary 18-hole rounds, green fee only per calendar year,  with respect to Spas: 10 complimentary spa treatments per  calendar year. There's various benefits associated with government concierges and facilitation, other benefits include things like discounts from King Power Duty Free, hotels, dining room etc. and there's a member contact hotline which allows members to contact personnel in their mother tongue; languages like English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese etc. are going to be usable on that Hotline.

In short, this can be a very significant and substantial benefit depending on what the core member has with respect to their benefits in the program. It can be extremely beneficial for one’s family members to have these privileges as it allows very long term status in the Kingdom of Thailand and also provides certain benefits which are in some ways unavailable to virtually anybody else. In some ways the Thailand Elite program is very beneficial.  It effectively front loads many issues associated with immigration which can be quite a hassle for individuals and this is especially the case for those with families. So those who are interested in long-term stay in Thailand are strongly encouraged to take a look at the Elite Program as it can be a significant benefit to those who are actually in it.
