Immigration crackdowns in the US are intensifying as evidenced by the recent announcement regarding suspension of immigrant visa processing for a large number of countries which includes Thailand in the list.

The present Trump Administration is pursuing Immigration crackdowns on illegal immigration but it is now also suspending immigrant visa processing for many countries including Thailand which is an Amity Treaty partner.

A quick clarification regarding Trump's Travel "Ban" which is in fact a pause on the issuance of US Immigrant Visas in order to carry out a review and does not effect non-immigrant visas such as Tourist, Business etc. Visas.

US Immigration has announced that they are pausing the issuance of Immigrant Visas, which might impact the K-1 Visa which although is technically a non-immigrant visa, it is a dual intent visa.
