As part of a crackdown on illegal immigration, the Trump Administration has announced a pause on the issuance of Immigrant Visas which will not impact visas that have already been issued.

The Trump Administration has imposed a travel pause in order to crack down on illegal immigration which does not pertain to non-immigrant visas, although the "strong ties, weak ties" analysis could still result in denials.

The Trump Administration has temporarily banned the issuance of some visas while certain aspects of the public charge rule are being adjusted in order to mitigate abuse of the welfare system.
